Fish Fry Mix
Depending on the amount of fish the ingredients below will change:
*Eggs
*Flour
*Salt and Pepper (optional)
*Saltine Crackers
*Fish fillets
*Oil
1. In one bowl beat eggs, in another bowl have flour (mix salt and pepper), and in a gallon size zip lock bag add a sleeve of saltines and crush.
2. Oil will be ready to fry fish when you take a drop of water and it splatters when placed in oil.
3. As your waiting for oil to reach temperature arrange the above items in this order:
4. Fish (should be moist, do not dry off), Flour, eggs, and saltines(still in zip lock).
5. When oil is ready place fish in flour to coat (both sides), dip in eggs, and place in cracker bag...repeat with four more pieces of fish.
6. Seal bag and shake to coat egg with cracker coating....remove and place each piece of fish one at a time in hot oil. You will need to flip fish and coat until golden brown (about 3 minutes total...depending on heat).
7. Repeat until all fish done. Make more mix as needed.
Note: If you have extra egg at the end......add some crushed saltine cracker and mix....looking for very sticky mix. Roll batter into balls and fry until light brown, remove from oil and add salt.
Enjoy.
Enjoy.
